Dominican Academy/Regis High School annual Walkathon 2024

This year, the students met at Regis for a presentation by the Student Councils of both schools and our school mascots, Dominic the Tiger and the Regis Owl, provided some entertainment as well getting the students excited to start on their journeys.

After entering Central Park  by Regis, the students walked down to Central Park South and then back up to 86th, looking for landmarks like Strawberry Fields, the Alice in Wonderland statue and the Obelisk. When they returned to Regis, there was a barbeque lunch to enjoy, and several fun activities like kickball, Coffeehouse and the always popular Dunk Tank featuring several students and Dr. Michael Cagney!

The Walkathon was also a student fundraiser this year, and the students were able to raise over $20,000 which will be used to install refillable water bottle fountains on some of the higher floors and to also purchase a new canopy for our rooftop space. Many thanks to all who participated and congratulations to the sophomore class for raising the most money!
