Only one-quarter of 1% of test takers earn this score on their ACT exam. The D.A. community is proud of Demetra's incredible dedication to excellence and joins ACT in congratulating her on receiving this prestigious academic honor.
“Earning a top score on the ACT is a remarkable achievement,” said ACT CEO, Janet Godwin. “A student’s exceptional score of 36 will provide any college or university with ample evidence of their readiness for the academic rigors that lie ahead.”
Demetra said she could not have earned this score without the privilege of the tremendous education she has received. "Every D.A. student puts a lot of time and effort into their studies, and I am glad mine could be reflected this way" Demetra said.
Last year in U.S. high schools, only 3,376 students out of 1.34 million ACT test takers earned a top composite score of 36.
The ACT is a curriculum-based achievement exam that measures what is learned in school years. Students who earn a 36 composite score have likely mastered the majority of the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in their first-year of college courses, in core subjects.
The ACT is a compilation of tests in English, mathematics, reading, and science. A student's composite score is compiled by averaging the four test scores.
ACT scores are accepted by U.S. colleges and universities.
