Congratulations to D.A.'s National Merit Scholarship Commended Students and Semi-Finalist

Dominican Academy celebrates the eight students who were named National Merit Scholarship Commended Students, as well as one senior who was named a National Merit Semifinalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

These remarkable young women earned their honors through exceptional academic achievement and dedication to excellence —standing among the top scorers nationwide. 

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their academic promise. D.A.'s commended students include seniors Anusuiya B., Taylor F., Samantha H., Helen O., and Mariel R., and each received a letter of commendation and congratulatory message from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which oversees the program. 

Claire P. '26 was named a semifinalist in the 2026 scholarship program, which means she placed within the top 1% of students in the nation who took the 2023 PSAT exam. These talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue for some 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million, which will be announced next spring.
