Ways to Give

Dominican Academy has offered a high quality but affordable education to young women since 1897. Our distinguished traditions have been sustained through generous alumnae, parents and friends of the school community. Below are a variety of ways for you to strengthen the education at Dominican Academy and to provide critical funds for its strong programs.

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund for Excellence provides crucial funding for operating costs that tuition does not provide and includes helping with faculty salaries, operating costs and technology. In order to keep tuition affordable, there is a gap of over $5,000 between the cost of running the school and what tuition provides. The Annual Fund closes that gap to keep D.A. running efficiently.

Scholarship Giving

Approximately 40% of students depend upon partial scholarships to afford to attend Dominican Academy. This partial aid often means the difference between being able to attend D.A. or not. Additionally, partial merit scholarships enable D.A. to recruit top students. Recruiting top achievers with partial merit scholarships means maintaining the high academic standards that D.A. has always been known to enjoy.

Ways to Give:

Gifts of Stocks and Bonds

Gifts of Cash

Gifts of Insurance (Specific Bequest, Percentage Bequest, Residual Bequest, Contingent Bequest)

IRA Charitable Rollover

In 2015, Congress enacted a permanent extension of the IRA Charitable rollover. If you are over 70 ½, you can transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA to charity without paying any federal income tax. And this gift may be made over and above the other charitable gifts you make this year.
